The StFX Microbial Ecology Lab studies the interactions between microbes (Bacteria, Archaea, and Eukarya), their physical environment, and the biosphere as a whole. We use a combination of field work, modern DNA sequencing, and classical microbiological approaches to address diverse research questions.
